Survivor Art

Childbirth Connection Foundation has partnered with The Lotus Project Los Angeles, to provide trauma and recovery group counseling to the women we serve who are victims of abuse and violence. The group addresses such issues as domestic violence and sexual assault utilizing educational curricula especially designed for people with developmental disabilities to create survivor art.

The Lotus Project is a program of community partners and it’s mission is to break this cycle of abuse and violence against women with developmental disabilities by providing support, education, resources and strategies to protect and advocate for themselves in abusive situations and remove barriers to accessing care.   For more information go to www.lotusprojectla.org
